Fall Trend: Embroidered Jeans

Embroidered jeans is probably my favorite trend right now. They are the new knee rips. OK, well, maybe not completely replacing them. I still love my destructed denim. You can wear this look in long denim, shorts, or even a jacket, so many options. You can even find your own patches and sew or iron them on. For this outfit I mixed a striped button down with a neutral heel. I love pairing the floral and the stripe together, it's a fresh combo. Let me see your favorite embroidered jean look!

6 Ways to Use Clear Mascara

Recently there has been a lot of articles I have read that discuss the uses for clear mascara. I was surprised to see all the uses for such a simple product. There are also many brands that make a clear mascara, I chose to try the Maybelline. Plus isn't their "Great Lash" one of the tried and true products out there on the market? Answer is YES! Check out some of the main tips below.

1. Brow Gel: After you put on your brow pencil or brow powder this is a quick set fix. Remember to         comb up through your brows.

2. Make Your Own Color: this choice maybe isn't for everyone, but you could create your own color. By adding loose pigment you can create your own custom color mascara.

3. Hair Gel: Got a couple of flyways? Swipe a little of this through your tresses for a little extra hold.

4. Definition: Swiping a little of this clear miracle concoction will also help to curl and define your lashes. Which will give you more a natural look.

5. Primer: Adding this to your lashes before you put on your regular mascara will help to set the mascara and create bigger, bolder, separated lashes. Now who doesn't want that?

6. False Lash Setting: comb this through your natural lashes and your falsies to blend them together. Sometimes when you use regular black or brown mascara it can make them look clumpy.

Fall Trend: Tie Neck Blouse

While I was reading some articles about Fall trends I was excited to see that tie neck blouses are going to be trending. I thought back to the all the tops I own, and I was happy to remember this blouse I had bought several years ago in JC Penney's. It was on clearance, but I can't remember how much I paid. I used to wear this top all the time when I worked at a high end consignment store. It as a cute ruffle tired back and the the burgundy color is perfect for fall. This is also a great out to wear to work. Also try this trend in a sleeveless silhouette.

Birchbox: August Box Review

Oribe Dry Texturing Spray: I have tried the dry shampoo from this brand and really liked it. I have no volume to my hair, nor does it stay volumized throughout the day with the humidity that I live in. It seemed to give my hair a boost, but I would prefer a little hair spray over the texturizing spray.

Ursa Major Face Wipes: These were great, my face felt really clean afterwards. I usually tone after removing my make up and there was very little "make up residue" left on the cotton ball.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick: Stila is one of my favorite brands. I love their "Stay All Day" liquid liner. It literally stays all day. I love this shade "Perla". It's a great everyday color. I will definitely be purchasing this lipstick again. Oh, and it smells like cake. They have a ton of colors on their website, so you will definitely find the perfect shade for you.

N. 4 Lumiere d'hiver Super Comb Prep & Protect: Last month I received another de-tangle and protect spray. This one is more of a leave-in conditioner you comb through your hair after you shampoo it. It did make my hair feel soft and I was easily able to comb through my tresses. I don't know if I would purchase this. I feel like it isn't something that is necessary for my hair.

Marcelle City Tinted Cream: This cream is best used for when you are going to be out in the sun. As I get older it is more important to keep sun protection in mind. This cream has SPF 25 and will need to be reapplied every 2 hours during sun exposure. I used it will I was laying out by the pool and it did make me feel protected from the sun.

Mustard Yellow Top

So I am trying to transition my wardrobe to be more Autumn tones. I found this top in TJ Maxx a few months ago. I instantly fell in love with it. First, I love the color. I don't have anything in my wardrobe in this color. Second, it was a cold shoulder (which I have quite a few of) but it was different from any other top with the trim on the sleeves. Over the summer I paired this top with white pants or shorts. But to make it an easy transition to Fall, I just switched to black pants and some brown wedges.

Oh My Kale!

If anyone knows me, they know I love a graphic tee. Most usually have a kitchy saying or a trending icon, like right now is a cow skull. Suburban Riot has some of the best graphic tees and tanks. Their website features mens, womens, accessories and "tween". I actually have two tanks from Suburban Riot. This "Kale" one and I have one with a giant pineapple on it (which they don't have on their website anymore). I think these a different from anything else that I have seen out in stores. I love wearing these tanks out on the weekends, no matter where I go, beach, bar, or concert. They even have some for the Bride to Be. Below I linked a couple of my favorites from their website.

Wear to Work: Burgundy Skirt

Since I have a desk job as my 9-5, and I have a business casual dress code. I try to find comfortable pieces that are versatile and appropriate. I got this skirt about a year ago from Old Navy. It was on clearance for about $4. The first thing I loved about it was the price (of course), the second was the length and the third was the knit ribbed fabrication. It is a stretchy fabric and is a pull on style so it provides all day comfort with an elastic waist. And of course trending right now is ankle strap heels.

Ipsy: August Glam Bag Review

I love the makeup bag for this month! This was another really good bag.

Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation: This is my first Josie Maran product. I really liked this foundation. I like full coverage when it comes to foundations. This went on really easy and I used my blender sponge to apply. In the photo below I only put it on half my face so you could tell the coverage. I do have a very uneven skin tone so I was impressed with the coverage. I wore this for one of my blog shoots out in the hot sun and when I got back it was still on. Even without setting spray. I would definitely purchase this.
Aurora X Ipsy Concealer: I usually use Tarte Shape Tape for under eye concealer. I was interested to see how this worked. It was a good shade for me, as you can see in the side by side photos below, the top is without any coverage, and the bottom is with 2 layers of the concealer put on with a blender sponge. I thought it was good coverage. Of course this doesn't have foundation above or below. I think that could help to make a difference as well. I couldn't find any where that you could purchase this.

Seraphine Liquid Coal Eye Liner: I love liquid eyeliners. This one was ok. It slightly tugged a little. I don't know if the tip wasn't wet enough. I did do a swatch on my hand and tried to rub it watch but it stayed. So that's a plus!

Firma Beauty 103 Angled Contour Brush: Love the soft bristles and I used my Smashbox Step by Step Coutour Kit. You definitely need to be light handed with this brush. It made a great line though. I don't contour very much so I am not perfect at contouring but I think this is a great brush.

Juara Rice Facial Cleanser: This was a very mild cleanser. It has a soft scent to it. This would be a great cleanser if you have sensitive skin. The description does state that it removes makeup, dirt and oil. It was supposed to foam up, and it didn't get very foamy for me. I thought it was a nice cleanser and removed my makeup, but it was just a little to mild for me.

My Go-To "On The Move" Dress

One of my favorite places to shop for fast fashion is Rue 21. They have a great selection of trend right, affordable outfits. They even include plus and men's into their assortment. I usually get really excited to open their email every morning, they always have great deals they are featuring. This dress and sneakers are both from Rue 21. I got the dress for $8 and the sneakers were on clearance for $5. I love scoring an entire outfit for under $15!

How to Wear Brown & Black Together

When I was in college I remember writing a paper in my speech class about fashion. I had to persuade my listeners that you can wear black and brown together. Back about 10 years ago, I fee like no one would pair black and brown together, it was one of those fashion "rules". But, one of my favorite outfits I would wear when I worked at the Gap was denim (either blue or white), a black v-neck tee and a brown leather belt.

Bye, bye silly fashion rule. What's more fun than pulling off a look that breaks the "rules" of fashion?

And of course those brown lace booties from Sam Edelman are just AMAZING!

Fall Transition: Floral Print Skirt

This is a super comfy skirt that I scored on clearance at Target for $5! I think this is a perfect fall transition skirt with the cute ditsy floral print. Since it's still warm here in Florida, I always look for outfits that are Fall appropriate but that I don't have to put on boots and leggings yet. I added a pair of coral espadrilles and this purple clutch that you can also wear on your shoulder. This would be the perfect Sunday brunch outfit or date night with your man.

Tropical Print Top

Usually around this time of the year I pray for cooler weather, but to be honestly will miss the cute outfits of Summer time. This Summer a popular trend was tropical prints. These are such an easy, fun way to bring a pop of color to your outfit. This top I got in TJ Maxx for about $16. I have worn this one on the weekends and also have worn it to work. I was just not ready to give up Summer posts yet. I really love this outfit with the fedora straw hat.

Pink Chiffon Skirt

I had bought this skirt about 2 years ago in Gap Outlet. I loved the light pink color and the price of $7 wasn't bad either. For some reason I never chose to wear it. I just can't figure out why. I always knew that it would look the best with a chambray shirt. So when I was putting together looks for this photo shoot, something told me to pull this skirt out. And can I say how happy I am that I did! This is now one of my favorite outfits.
