Birchbox: July Box Review

Oribe Apres Beach Wave Spray: My hair is naturally wavy, but it usually takes a little extra finesse to make it look presentable. I put this in my hair while it was damp (instructions said either damp or dry hair). I didn't sleep in a bun or anything, and just let it air dry. In the morning it was wavy but throughout the day it kinda lost its curl. I think next time I might try it while my hair is dry and see if it works better.

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangling Spray: As a kid my hair would always be tangled after washing it. I had super long hair and used to use a detangling spray. My hair doesn't really tangle like that anymore but I used it as a protectant spray with my straightener. It made my hair feel less frizzy (especially with the humidity in Florida). Also shiny as well.

Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer: with the face wash I use the it dries out my skin, but it does a pretty good job with removing my makeup, so I take the good with the, I guess you can say bad. This was a nice moisturizer, did I see my complexion get better, no. And I probably won't see that with this small sample, but I would keep using this product to see if it would help with my complexion. It also has a nice floral scent and is recommended from Allure magazine.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil: Most days I usually don't fill in my brows. This was probably the smallest sample I ever received. Probably can only do your brows twice with it. But over all it looked and worked really well. I am not a professional when it comes to my brows So I usually just try to fill in the thin areas. You can see the photo below the right side has the brow pencil and the left side doesn't. I think I would buy this in a full size version.

LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick: Reds are some of my favorite colors to wear. This one I wore yesterday to brunch and out with some friends. It didn't completely stay one but I was surprised when I looked in the mirror later in the day you could still see a hint of red. Also a huge thing for me was that it didn't dry out my lips, like a lot of matte lipsticks do. See photo below of shade. Shade: Rose to the Occasion.

Royal Blue Jacquard Pants

About 6 months ago I found these cropped jacquard pants in TJ Maxx. They were a steal at $17 so I got this royal blue pair and a grey pair. They are very comfortable and have an elastic waist. I find the elastic waist bottoms more comfortable to wear to work everyday, since my job requires a lot of sitting. I am not the type of person who is afraid of colors either. I love popping outfits with a bright color. Since these royal blue pants are pretty bright I keep the top neutral. Like this one from Express that I got on clearance for $15. The heels are Express too that I got awhile back for $20 and they are actually comfortable.

                              JC Penney's-$19.99                                                         Macy's-$34.98

                             Banana Republic-$66                                                       XOXO-$25

Trend: Toe Strap Sandals

Living in Florida, sandals are a staple piece of your wardrobe. But sometimes you just get bored of those typical strappy ones. This summer a big trend is toe strap sandals. These are a great update for your summer wardrobe. And you can find them for not very expensive. The Rue 21 pair with the multi color beading I got on sale when they had BOGO free on sandals. So I got 2 pairs of sandals for $15 bucks! The other pair I got on clearance at DSW for $26. Check out these super cute, and affordable choices below.

Ipsy: July Glam Bag Review

tarte Rain Forest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel: I am obsessed with tarte products. I love everything from their brand. I actually have a larger version of this gel that I got with the Radiance Ritual Travel Set that I got in Sephora. I hadn't tried the cleansing gel yet though. I had used the Marine Boosting Mist to give my face a little refresh feeling. The gel was nice, not a lot a fragrance. My face did not feel as dry as it usually does. Since I like to use "gritty" face washes to help wash all the make up off my face, those can be really drying. After I added spritzed on some of the Marine Boosting Mist and my face felt very hydrated.

BRTC Jasmine Waterful Sleeping Mask: This is a Korean mask that goes on clear and it's intention is to help lock in moisture while you sleep so when you wake up your face feels hydrated. I used this mask after the Tarte Deep Dive Cleansing Gel and spray. I suffer from dry skin on my face so I was intrigued with this product. I did wake up and my face was still moisturized. It was a refreshing feeling. I'm sure you have to use continuously to see even more changes but I think I would buy a full size version on this mask.

Tresique Mini Concealer Crayon: Another brand that I have come to love through Ipsy introduction. This is my first concealer from them. It was pretty light for my skin tone right now, since I have a banging tan going on right now. But since I still do have dark circles under my eyes I applied it to a fresh face with no other makeup so that you could tell the difference. It's not as much coverage as I am used to but if you are looking for just a little something, this creamy crayon formula would be good for you. I applied the crayon to the left side of photo. Shade: Porcelain.

Seraphine Botanicals Ginger & Gold Blush: OK, new obsession ALERT!!! This is a magnificent blend of gold and peach shimmer. I love it! I wore it to work this morning and I already want to buy the another one. It is just enough color, but it would be easy to go overboard with it. I would also use it as an eye shadow as well. And it is healthy for your skin, 99% natural.

Ciate London Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid Liner: Alright I personally usually gravitate towards liquid liners on my uppers for work and pencils for an night out look. But, I chose to switch it up this morning. I used this new one on my upper lids. Formula was good, glided on very well and didn't smudge upwards (since my eyelids are creased). I love this brand, I have several of their products through Ipsy bags, but you can probably find a less expensive pencil in drug stores. See below for eyeliner and blush.

Summer Trend: White Heels

While trying to find a dress to wear to a wedding I am attending soon, I came across that white heels are the shoes to have this summer. Celebrities are wearing them not only just on the streets, dressing up their denim but also on the red carpet. White heels or pumps are a great way to bring a classic, crisp look to any outfit. I don't wear very many pumps, I prefer wedges. They are more comfortable for me at work and running around all day. These wedges above are from Express. I love the Express wedges, they are some of the most comfortable I have owned. I am surprised at myself that I don't have a pair of solid white heels though. The more I think about all the different types of outfits I can wear with white heels, the more I wonder why I don't have a pair. I guess I will have to go buy a pair to have. How cute are the ones below with the ankle strap! Must own!!!
