Fall Trend: Bell Cuff Tops

This past weekend I was in Daytona Beach with my family. Everything around the town was pretty quiet because of the hurricane. But, my mom, sister and I made some time to go check out some stores that were open. We ended up at Marshall's and I was in my happy place! I found a couple cute tops and a new denim jacket.

One of the tops I got was this stripe bell cuff. I can't even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with it! It is this super soft knit material, that just feel so amazing on.

I am starting to see this trend everywhere. There are many options out there. You can find one like mine with long sleeves or you can find one with 3/4 sleeves or short sleeves with the bell flare. I was even at work today and one of my co-workers (also a dedicated Stylist Portfolio follower) had on a shorter flare sleeve top. It was so cute!

Check out some of the adorable and affordable styles below!

Heading Back to School

I wasn't sure what to title this post, but since Hurricane Irma came through and all the locals schools and colleges were closed last week, I thought this would be a cute outfit to head back to school in. It's comfortable and trendy. What more could you possibly want? I absolutely love this shirt from Cable & Gauge. The material is so soft and the washed out olive color is perfect for either Summer or you can wear in Fall too.

The Cold Shoulder Dress

About a year ago I was attending my aunt's wedding. I was struggling to try to find a dress that I liked  and what also fit. Plus the wedding was in upstate New York, so it was going to be kinda chilly. I had seen this dress in Target while I was looking for an outfit. I decided not to try it on and walked away from it. But I had one of those moments where I couldn't stop thinking about the dress. So I went back to Target, and of course my size was already gone! So I did the next best thing and ordered it online, especially since I got a discount if I ordered $40+. So I got this print and another print.

When it finally got delivered it was a little big but it worked. It has now become one of my favorite dresses. It's super comfortable and a great dress that worked perfectly for the wedding!

The "Where To Everything" Lace Dress

Here goes another clearance find! I got this dress at target for about $9, when they were having the extra 20% clearance a few weeks ago. I love the off white color because you can wear this dress just about anywhere. Here I paired it with a dark denim jacket, but you could add a colorful cardigan, a black leather Moto jacket or just wear it without anything.

Buying a simple dress like this one, gives you so many options to to style and make your own. I love pairing it with the dark jacket and adding the brown tone accessories to keep with the neutral color of the dress.

One Shoulder Floral Top

I finally have cable and internet bar up again after hurricane Irma. I was lucky enough to not lose power. So this post is coming a little late.

I found this top at TJ Maxx. I was there shopping with my friend a couple of weeks ago. I had tried this top on before that trip, and had really liked it. I just decided on that trip to buy other items and skip this one. Hindsight, I am glad I did. TJ Maxx had a huge clearance area, marking down all the summer styles to make room for sweaters and long sleeves. I am a avid clearance shopper. I usually hit those racks before I glance around the regular price merchandise. While searching through the racks I found this top I had tried on before, and the best part it was on clearance for $4! I quickly snagged it up and made my friend try on one too in her size. And I love the trim!

Even though this top is quite summery I couldn't pass up a great deal like that. I love to score some great summer tops while stores are transitioning to fall merchandise. Even though you may need to wait a while to wear them, you are ahead of the game for next Spring and Summer!

Wedding Rehearsal Dress

Tonight is my best friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. I am so excited to be able to stand at the alter with her and future husband. I had gone out last weekend with one of my friends to get our nails done and look for a dress for the rehearsal dinner. I had no luck. Everything that we had seen was very "prom" like or too summery. I am such a seasonal person. It would be hard for me to wear pink florals right now. So I went home without a dress.

The next day my mom, sister and I were going to the Tampa outlets. I usually always find something there but its mostly t-shirts or purses. While I was waiting for my mom I popped into the Express outlet. They were having 50% off the entire store, even clearance. I had never bought a dress from them, for the main reason that they are pretty body con and I like to have a little bit of room in my dresses just to feel comfortable. So I glanced through the sale rack and found this teal strapless dress. It was on sale for $20, plus 50% off. I had to try it on, plus a few other items. It was a little bit big (I have lost some weight and kinda in between sizes right now). But I knew I could make it work, especially for $10! So I just pinned up the sides, add a neutral heel, grabbed my accessories and outfit complete.

Moral of the story is I just thought that I was going to have to re-wear a dress I already owned. But just by chance I popped into Express to see what they have. And it worked out for me. Also a big tip is that if you ever find a good deal like the dress above, just buy it. It's an investment and you won't be scrambling to find something when you have a special occasion come up. Cause don't we all prefer to wear something new for a special night? The answer is: OF COURSE!

Olive Cross Over Top

One of my favorite colors is olive green. It usually tends to lean a little more on the side for Fall, but I even love it in spring and summer. This top I got at Bealls a few years back. It was on clearance for $10. I loved the shoulder details and the drape cross over front. I think these tops are great for either wearing to work or for a party. Plus it is elastic on the back hem and makes it so comfortable. This top is great for any body shape, plus the draping in the front helps to hide the mid section.
